Allies congratulates Dawn King on 2024 Social Innovations Awards win

Dawn King, VP of integrated healthcare at Allies, was recognized by the 2024 New Jersey Social Innovations Awards under the Public Health Impact category due to her work bringing integrated healthcare to those supported by Allies.

The New Jersey Social Innovation Awards are presented by the Social Innovations Journal. The goal of the awards is to properly recognize and honor “all innovators and change makers within the New Jersey region who are working hard for social justice.” Allies nominated several well-deserving innovators for the award, in addition to King. These other nominees included MaryAnne McMillan, HTR, for her work with Project Grow.

“Achieving this award is such an honor because Public Health has been my focus throughout my entire career, and I have learned that having an impact on public health outcomes requires the focus of not one person, but it requires a community wide approach to achieve success,“ King said. “This recognition belongs to Allies for their hard work and dedication to improving the lives of the individuals we serve.”

Following the recognition, King reflected on the importance of teamwork in innovation. “This win made me reflect and see how much progress we have made together as a team,” King said. “It inspired me to keep wanting to push forward and find other ways to continue to improve health outcomes of those we serve.”

King added, “I was proud to represent such an amazing team that works tirelessly to ensure quality integrated healthcare for those in Allies’ care.”

“We are exceptionally proud of the efforts Dawn has demonstrated since joining Allies,” Michael Haggerty, MS, CEO of Allies, said. “The care and attention Dawn shows our community is evidenced every day through the innovative partnerships and programs she stewards.”
