Donations from individuals, corporations and other community partners make it possible for Allies to offer support that goes beyond solutions for primary needs such as housing, health care and employment.
Thanks to the generous support of donors, we are able to offer a variety of social and educational programs and events that give individuals the opportunity to learn, grow, socialize, and connect with each other and the community. This enhances each person’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and promotes their inclusion in society.
We appreciate all donations, no matter what the amount. As a 501(c)(3) organization, all contributions are tax deductible.
When you give to Allies, you support special programming which includes:
- Project Grow: An innovative farming program that provides horticultural therapy, employment training, and nutritional education in a healthy and productive environment. Our gardens are located at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor and Duke Farms Community Garden in Hillsborough. We also have accessible raised garden beds outside of Allies’ day programs to allow individuals of various abilities, including those using wheelchairs, to participate and experience the joys of gardening. In addition to providing therapy and education through horticulture, Project Grow aims to give back to local communities by donating their harvests to food banks throughout the year.
- Community Inclusion & Recreation: A program that develops and coordinates a variety of cultural, outdoor, and recreational activities to foster a fun and active lifestyle. Participants enjoy trips to places like the Jersey shore and boardwalks, aquariums, zoos, amusement parks, concerts, restaurants, sporting events, and more. Those we serve also look forward to holiday events such as a Halloween Parade and a Christmas Dance.
- Social and Advocacy Groups: These monthly groups bring those we serve together to socialize, share their thoughts and ideas, brainstorm solutions to challenges, enjoy dinner, and participate in arts and crafts and other engaging creative projects.
