Community Support Staff
The backbone and lifeblood of residential care, the Community Support Staff provide compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily activities and helping them strive for independence. Community Support Staff work in a group setting, where your clients rely on you to help make their house a home.
Community Support Staff – Floater
With all of the same responsibilities as other Community Support Staff, the Floater works a flexible schedule, providing assistance to various programs on different shifts. Therefore, floaters are able to adapt to the needs of different programs and make themselves available for any time they may be expected to work. Floaters are utility players that are compensated for their flexibility and versatility.
Community Integration Support Staff
The keyword is Integration. Community Integration Support Staff help participants in their day programs to live their best lives. They facilitate fun, engaging, and educational activities to help participants achieve fulfillment through work, volunteering, and leisure activities. Allies, Inc. Day Programs are innovative, community based initiatives with a focus on vocational skill development.
Support Manager
The Support Manager is responsible for the overall management of a residential program for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Manager’s primary objective is to ensure that all clients have activities, environments, and people that enrich their lives. Support Managers have solid leadership skills and all the knowledge required to run the day-to-day operations of a group home.
Assistant Support Manager
The Assistant Support Manager works in conjunction with the program’s Support Manager. The Assistant Manager must ensure consistent, quality service is delivered to all individuals in the program. Assistant Support Managers are always looking to equip the program staff with the tools, knowledge, and support that they need in order to be successful in their roles.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
LPNs provide a greater medical knowledge to our programs. The clients we serve have varying medical needs that must be met by compassionate nurses with the skills to care for them. LPNs at Allies ensure that clients have proper health maintenance and medical treatments through their own care, and through supervision and training of the direct care staff.
Residential Counselor
Residential Counselors work specifically with children having developmental disabilities or behavioral disorders. They work with young clients helping them build skills and supporting them in their daily activities. Residential Counselors have Bachelor’s Degrees and adhere to high standards, navigating through the sensitivities that come with working with youth.
