Allies Friends and Community Partners Help Make the Season Bright for Individuals with Special Needs

The holidays are around the corner and Allies is planning to make the season bright for children and adults with special needs through their “Share the Joy” gift-giving campaign. With the help of Allies employees, families, and wonderful friends and business partners in the community, Allies aims to ensure each Allies resident will receive a gift for the holiday that fills their heart with joy.

This year the agency has put a high-tech spin on their holiday gift-giving, launching a “Share the Joy” website. The website features a list of gift ideas provided by the people that Allies serves, so that gift givers can easily scroll through the names, select a gift, and sign up. Once someone purchases a gift, they can ship it to Allies’ administrative office, or drop it off at one of three drop off locations on Thursday, December 9th and 16th between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Michael Haggerty, President and CEO of Allies, remarked, “We are grateful to have the opportunity to join together with families and community partners to help make the holiday a special one for those we serve. The outpouring of generosity so far has been really touching.”
