Allies Names Danielle Comer a 2021 NJACP “Hero of the Year”

Allies, Inc. is proud to name Danielle Comer as a 2021 New Jersey Association of Community Providers “Hero of the Year” for her outstanding work as a Direct Support Professional.

Danielle, who serves at Allies Pump Branch Group Home in Camden County, has been recognized for her compassion, positive energy, generosity, and professionalism. She meets the needs of those she serves with kindness and love, always making their safety and well-being the top priority.

Allies Executive Director, Nicole Grant, remarked, “Throughout this year and the pandemic, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many people in different capacities. Danielle stands out as an employee who never wavers in her commitment to excellence, dedication and loyalty to each individual, and the program overall. I admire her strong work ethic and personal integrity.”

Danielle shares a special bond with each person that she cares for, and they look forward to her arrival each day. She enjoys keeping them engaged with art projects, planning community-based trips to places such as concerts and water parks, and other activities that are personalized to their unique interests. She even makes simple times at home fun for those she serves – singing, dancing, and sharing lots of smiles and laughter.

In addition, Danielle continuously receives a high level of praise from colleagues, support coordinators, guardians, and family members. She is proud to do everything that she can to ensure that shifts run smoothly and efficiently, and always takes time for families when they call and visit.

“Danielle is an inspiration and role model who makes our work even more rewarding and enjoyable as she demonstrates the Allies mission each day,” said Nicole. “We are proud and grateful to have her as part of the Allies family, and to name her as our 2021 NJACP “Hero of the Year.”
