Allies Recognizes World Distance Learning Day and Those Who Make Our Virtual Day Programs A Success

Happy World Distance Learning Daya day to celebrate learning that takes place outside of the physical classroom. We appreciate everyone who has joined together to make our virtual programs a success – the vocational services directors and managers who produce the daily lessons, the direct support staff and family members who aid in the experience at home, and the day program participants who share their enthusiasm and smiles each day.

Currently day program participants have the flexibility to attend via zoom or in person at our day program centers. Participants enjoy lessons in cooking, music, dance, fitness, math, science, art, crafts, history, and more. Trips to Duke Farms Community Garden and accessible garden beds allow individuals of various abilities to experience the joys of gardening. For those not able to travel, virtual trips to places like Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, aquariums and zoos broaden horizons and smiles.

Virtual programs are offered Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
