A group of Allies all-stars, assembled and led by Rocco Bene, a behavior specialist, will be taking the plunge to help raise money for Special Olympics New Jersey in February.
Bene has been involved with Special Olympics New Jersey since 2017. Prior to joining Allies, Bene worked with an agency where he coached individuals in track and field and ran the group’s Special Olympics program. Throughout his time of involvement, Bene has volunteered at various fundraising events when possible.
The next Polar Bear Plunge is scheduled for Feb. 24, 2024, in Seaside Heights, NJ. Bene, along with other members of the Allies community including Courtney Fitterer, Anthony Visco, Tiara Ferguson, Erika Mecchella, Nicole Santoloci, Margeaux Castiglioni and Sandra Heims, will brave the cold water with hundreds of other participants.
“I am excited to continue my partnership with Special Olympics New Jersey and take the plunge next month in Seaside, NJ with some of my coworkers at Allies,” Bene said. “Come out and join us for food and drinks prior and after the event.”
