Allies celebrates DSP Certification Program graduates

Allies recently celebrated the graduation of the second class of students participating in the DSP Certification Program.

The DSP Certification Program has been designed to foster professional and personal growth among Allies Community Support Staff and Community Integrated Support Services staff. The program is designed to impart participants with key competencies intended to enhance their ability to meet the needs of those we support. This program graduated 16 students.

“The existence of the DSP Certification Program underscores our unwavering commitment to the mission of Allies, Inc.,” Theresa Wilson-Fall, MA, MS, the Learning and Development Special Projects Lead at the Woods System of Care, said. “This program reflects our dedication to excellence, personalized support, and continuous improvement, ensuring that we meet the unique needs and goals of the individuals we serve.”

The program spans four quarters, each of which is focused on a specific area of professional development. This year’s program was also updated to incorporate feedback gathered from the first graduating class.

“These improvements include updated training materials, additional online resources, and more interactive in-person sessions,” Wilson-Fall said. “The program is continually evolving, ensuring that each new cohort experiences fresh, engaging content that supports their professional growth.”

In addition to the monetary raise participants receive upon completion of the program, participants are able to network with colleagues throughout the state and broaden their understanding of health and human services.

“The Allies DSP Certification Program is not only comprehensive and engaging but also offers additional academic benefits,” Wilson-Fall said. “Successful completion of the program earns participants 4 college credits at the University of Arizona Global Campus, with which Allies has a tuition discount partnership.”

The DSP Certification Program which began with Allies is in active development for implementation throughout the Woods system of Care.
